One charter standard · six included things

What every charter includes.

Nine vessels, one named operator on the licence, one safety briefing, one cooler with ice. Everything below is included on every booking — nothing is added at the dock.

  • 01

Whole-boat pricing — pay per vessel, not per head

A 4-hour Cap Camarat 6.5 CC is €250 whole boat, up to 8 guests. Two passengers pay the same as eight. Above 4 paying adults the per-head charter price drops below the per-head group-tour price — and you set the route.

  • 02

Skipper, fuel and gear are in the price

Full tank of fuel, CE-approved life jackets, snorkelling masks, fins, beach towels, cooler with ice. Captain optional on every whole-boat charter at €70 flat — Cat. C licensed Croatian skipper if you add one. Everything else stays.

  • 03

Welcome drink — pošip on standard, prosecco on the flagship

A glass of cold pošip or Jana water on every charter. Croatian sparkling on the Cap Camarat 9.0 CC. No corkage on anything you bring aboard.

  • 04

Custom route — at no extra charge

Marin doesn't sell stops. Tell the dispatch desk what you want — Blue Cave on Koločep, Cavtat lunch, Šunj sand beach, Pakleni Islands swim, secret cove, sunset return — and the captain plans the day around your list. Re-routes mid-charter cost nothing.

  • 05

Self-drive without a licence on three boats

The Pasara 5 HP, Barracuda 530 RIB and Fisher 20 Sun-Deck all qualify for Croatia's no-licence exemption. 20-minute briefing on the dock, full fuel, life jackets, anchor, chart on the helm screen — you take the wheel.

  • 06

Free reschedule when the captain calls weather

Marin makes the safety call by 07:00 the morning of departure. If the day is off, you get 100% refund or a free reschedule, your choice. Inside-24-hour customer-side cancels run on the tiered policy.

One Croatian, eleven seasons, nine boats.

I'm Marin Kovačević. I started this charter operation in 2015 with a single 5-HP Pasara out of Marina Frapa, working it solo most weekends. By 2018 the second boat arrived; by 2023 the Cap Camarat 9.0 CC luxury flagship joined the fleet.

Today the fleet is nine vessels — three self-drive, six skippered, plus the Fish Picnic shared-charter day-boat — but the operating logic hasn't changed: the named operator on the licence is the captain who replies to your WhatsApp.

The math at 5 paying adults

Why a charter beats the group tour.

A standard 4-hour group Blue Cave tour from a competitor is ~€60 / pp. A 4-hour half-day charter on the Cap Camarat 6.5 CC is €300 whole boat, up to 8 guests. From 5 paying adults the per-head charter price ties the group-tour rate — and from 6 you set the route at a real saving.

Party size Per-person on charter Cheaper option
2 adults €150 Group tour wins on price
4 adults €75 Group tour wins by €15
5 adults €60 Effective tie · charter wins on routing
6 adults €50 Charter wins by €60
8 adults €38 Charter wins by €176

Direct vs platform · same boat, less commission

Same captain, same berth — minus the platform fee.

The commission gap (~15–20%) is what platforms keep. Booking through Marin keeps it with the operation — and the captain who replies to your WhatsApp is the same person you'll meet at the dock.

  • Do I need a licence to charter a boat in Dubrovnik?

    Half-day = 4 hours · full-day = 8 hours · Hvar / Korčula day = 10 hours on the Cap Camarat 9.0 · multi-day yacht on request.

  • Do I need to be a strong swimmer?

No. CE-approved life jackets are provided on every seat, and the captain stays with you at every swim stop. Non-swimmers can stay on the boat. Children aged 4+ are welcome with child-size life jackets. Charter has no minimum age — under-4s welcome with parent.
